Running Clubs and Organisations

Brandon Fern Hoppers - A friendly, social club consisting of members of varying abilities and ages. Simple philosophy - run and have fun.

British Association of Road Races - Dedicated to the improvement of road running. BARR is a membership association for Road Race and Multi-Terrain events.

Bungay Black Dog Running Club - Situated centrally on the Norfolk/Suffolk border. All abilities encouraged to join a club where friendliness and camaraderie are the strengths.

City Of Norwich Athletics Club - City of Norwich AC is one of the largest athletic clubs in the East of England with over 500 members, and promise a warm welcome to anyone interested in athletics.

Colchester Harriers Athletics Club - Club competes in the Southern Mens and Womens Track & Field League as well as a number of other competitions.

Dereham Runners - Formed in 1986 by a group of runners lacking local facilities at which to train, Dereham Runners AC has evolved into one of the most successful ‘grassroots’ athletics clubs in the county. 

Diss Athletics Club - Norfolk club based at the Diss Sports Ground.

Ely Runners - Formed in 1985 and now have around 140 members. The club has community amateur sports club status.

Felixstowe Road Runners - A friendly local running club with about 150 members in Felixstowe and surrounding areas. They welcome new members of all standards.

Great Yarmouth Road Runners

Ipswich JAFFA Running Club - Ipswich JAFFA is a friendly running club with qualified coaches who are very willing to help and advise. The club caters for all ages and abilities including a junior section and participates in road races, cross countries and track events.

Norfolk Amateur Athletics Association - Records on the history of amateur athletics in Norfolk date back to the 1880's when athletics across Suffolk and Norfolk were combined. In 1912 the Norfolk/Suffolk Athletics Committee was formed which oversaw athletics across the two counties. This continued until late in 1926 when the committee split into individual counties. It is almost certain that the first Norfolk Championships was therefore held in 1927.

Norfolk Gazelles Running Club - Norfolk Gazelles are a club who enjoy running and also a variety of social events and functions. 

North Norfolk Beach Runners - A friendly Road Running Club based in North Norfolk at Cromer

Norwich Road Runners - Norwich Road Runners was formed in 1985. The club prides itself on being a friendly club welcoming runners both male and female, of all ages and of all abilities from complete beginners to the fastest in the county.

Reepham Runners - A small, friendly running club based in the market town of Reepham, about 10 miles north-west of Norwich, in Norfolk.

Ryston Runners Athletics Club - The club were formed in 1986 in Ryston End near Downham Market. Originally a running club, they have now expanded to cover cross country and track and field.

Saint Edmund Pacers - A friendly running club based in Bury St. Edmunds, Suffolk.

Stowmarket Striders - A road running club with about 300 members of all ages (9 to 70) and all abilities, from beginners to experienced athletes.

Thetford Athletic Club - A friendly club in the heart of beautiful Norfolk, surrounded by forest. They cater for all types of athletes both young and old, and also have a very active and successful junior group.

The Birketts Round Norfolk Relay - 193 mile continuous relay in 17 separate unequal multi-terrain stages. The ultimate club challenge and a unique experience.

Waveney Valley Athletics Club - Waveney Valley Athletic Club was formed in 1996 and continues as a friendly club for athletes, road runners and cross country runners in the Lowestoft, Beccles and Waveney area.

Woodbridge Shufflers - A small running club with about 60 members, based in Woodbridge, Suffolk. 

Wymondham Athletics Club - Wymondham AC in Norfolk has been in existence for over 30 years. They are a running club participating in many road running events and cater for all runners irrespective of age, sex and ability.


Football Clubs

Sprowston Wanderers Football Club - Local club based on the outskirts of Norwich. First team plays in the Anglian Combination Division 2.

Wymondham Town Football Club - Adult football club which links into the junior section. The club has three teams catering for players of all abilities.

Wymondham Town Ladies FC - Local ladies team that Wynsport are pleased to sponsor with various training and match equipment. The team plays in Division 1 of the Norfolk Womens And Girls Football League.

Long Stratton Football Club - Local club with adult, ladies and youth teams. First team plays in Anglian Combination Division 1. Sponsored by Wynsport.com for 2009/10 season.

Poringland Wanderers FC - Local club formed in 1985 that plays in the Anglian Combination Division 1.


Rugby Clubs

Wymondham Rugby Club - Formed in 1972, the club boasts a strong foundation for rugby at all levels from mini rugby to the senior squad. The club is backed by a high quality coaching and support network and operates from the Tuttles Lane East ground.


Triathlon Clubs

Tri-Anglia Triathlon Club - A progressive and forward-thinking club formed in 2008 for athletes who compete in triathlon, duathlon, aquathlon, swimming, cycling and running events. The club draws people from a wide area in the Eastern Region. Tri-Anglia caters for males and females of all abilities and ages including juniors, whilst always encouraging participation and enjoyment.
