What injuries and conditions is the Ankle X suitable for?

All ankle injuries including high ankle injuries.
Recent ankle sprains.
Long term ankle sprains and ankle instability.

How does it work?

The McDavid 189 has a neoprene liner which wraps around the ankle and secures with a velcro type fastener.
The outer shell of the brace then fits around the neoprene liner and secures at the front again with a velcro fastener.
The outer shell is made of a very tough plastic with a hinge at the pivot point of the ankle.
When placed in the shoe this provides a very high level of support and protection with the comfort and a neoprene support.
Allows up and down movement whilst preventing lateral movement of the ankle.
McDavid grade this support a level III offering the top level of support.

What size do I need?

Small/Medium = Men's shoe size 7-10, Women's shoe size 6-9
Large/Extra Large = Men's shoe size 10-15, Women's 9-16
